After I finished my last pair of jeans I decided to sew a couple of easy things.
First, I made a t-shirt for Seth.
Sometimes I have a hard time finding knits with good boy prints. But I found this fabric at Banberry Place and I like it. This was the first time I ordered from them and they had some cute fabric.
Then I made some lounge pants for me. When I was first learning to sew I made me a pair of pants using this Burda pattern. That was two years ago, and I have worn those poor pants to death because they’re so comfortable. So I wanted some more.
I wanted some black, medium weight fabric for these pants. I was looking at fabric.com, and the only black medium weight knit I could find at that time was scuba knit. I’d never used scuba knit before and I thought it looked ok.
Then it came and I realized that I don’t like scuba knit! Unless it’s for workout gear or something. But I decided to use the fabric anyway, and I probably shouldn’t have. I hate the slicky feel of these and I don’t know how much I’ll end up wearing them. At least I’ll know to never buy scuba knit again, so it’s not all in vain.
The winter sure cramps my picture taking style because Jon is never around to take pictures for me when there’s any light outside. But I talked Seth into taking pictures of these pants for me, and I only had to pay him fifty cents to do it! Hah!
